Minimal requirements

The following are minimum requirements for the theme to operate correctly online.

  • PHP version 5.2.4 or greater (recommended: PHP 5.4 or greater)
  • MySQL version 5.0 or greater (recommended: MySQL 5.5 or greater)
  • The mod_rewrite Apache module
  • Wordpress 4.1 or above.

Attention Please make sure you have latest version of WordPress installed. Also please see WordPress offical page for minimum requirements.

Javascript must be enabled on browsers viewing this theme. Though non-javascript browsers are supported, this is necessary for full-feature experience.

Installing the theme

To install Revell theme, follow the key points of the installation given below:

Basic installation

  1. Unzip the package downloaded from ThemeForest and locate the file revell.zip. This archive contains theme's core files you need to upload to your server.
  2. Unzip revell.zip and upload files to your server via FTP (recommended) or Wordpress admin UI (not recommended). A detailed guide on how to do this is covered in documentation's installation section.
  3. Go to Appearance > Themes on admin panel, locate "Revell" theme and activate it. After activation, you can customize theme settings via Appearance > Theme Options page.

Installing required plugins

After theme installation, you will see message to install required plugins. You must install all these plugins to get full benefit of our theme. A detailed guide on how to do this is covered in documentation's installation section


Creating a child theme

The theme comes with sample minimal child theme folder which you can find in the archive downloaded from ThemeForest. You can use it as a starting point to create your child themes.
